History of Qom province
In the statement of the time and history of the creation of this land, although the historical documents attribute it to the year 83 (AH), but in the hadiths and narrations, the will of Hazrat Ahadit at the beginning of the history of Islam is mentioned in this regard. At that time, when the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, ascended to heaven, and Gabriel was carrying him on his right shoulder, he saw a land in Balad Jabal that shone with a saffron-colored light and a dark fragrance, and in that land They saw an old man wearing a hat, they asked Gabriel where is this land and who is that old man? Gabriel said: This is the place of your Shiites and the Shiites of your guardian, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, and that old man of Satan, the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, descended in this land with Gabriel and addressed the devil (Qom or accursed...) Get up and go, you accursed one, because you are not a ruler among the Shiites of me and Ali, and therefore the name of this city was determined by the words of the Holy Prophet of Islam, peace and blessings of God be upon him, before its creation, but as it was stated at the beginning, the city of Qom in the year 83 (H-Q) It became a city with the migration of the Ash'ari family, who were from the Yemeni tribes and had converted to Islam at the beginning of the Prophet's mission, and were fed up with the oppression of the pilgrims and had moved from Kufa to Iran, and with the gathering of the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt.
Peace be upon them, in this land, it was gradually out of the control of Zoroastrians and since then it has always been considered as the center of Shia, in the year 184 (H) and during the reign of Harun, due to the struggle of the people of Qom with the ruler of the time, this city.
It came out of the control of Isfahan and became independent, and the mosque of the city was built, and the Friday prayer pulpit, which was an expression of independence, was built in this city. In the year 200 (AH), one year after the exile of Hazrat Reza, peace be upon him, to Khorasan, Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh, peace be upon him, who had traveled to Iran with the intention of visiting her brother, fell ill in Saveh, and from there she made Qom the center of Shiism.
They knew that they ordered to transfer him to Qom and after 17 days he died in this city and since then the history of the city of Qom, thanks to the presence of his holy shrine, has attracted the attention of more and more Shiites and even now as the patron saint of the heart. And the center of teaching and learning the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, is of interest to everyone.
The history of electricity in Qom
In 1310 AH, using the equipment of the old Dushan Tepe factory in Tehran, the first electricity factory with coal and wood fuel was put into operation in the city of Qom to light the sacred threshold of Hazrat Masoumeh. A few years later, when the electricity generator of the Risbaf factory came into use, a number of the city's residents benefited from the blessing of electricity, until in 1326, an electric factory was established with public shares, which reached the operational stage in 1328, and after the establishment of the Tehran Regional Electricity Company.
